Sciotex Seed Counters state-of-the-art technology and advanced imaging software work together to provide fast and accurate seed counting. The Sciotex Seed Counter counts and measures overlapping seeds. The high-resolution camera sees each seed from two views and compensates to provide accurate counts. With excellent light distribution and 90-degree angle mirrors, the seed counter is extremely precise in its counts and measurements.

Fast
No other counting machine can match this Sciotex seed counter for speed. Round 1.25 mm pellets can be counted at 2,000 per second, oblong seeds (such as marigold seeds) at 200 to 300 per second, and large seeds (such as squash and corn seeds) at 80 to 100 per second.

Easy
Touchscreen technology with step-and-start operation make the seed counter easy to use, with quick changeover between seed lots. And there are few moving parts for less downtime and maintenance.

Precise
The Sciotex Seed Counting System counts seeds with incredible precision - with a variance of only 0.16% between two counts of a 50,000 seed sample. This seed counting system is fully compatible with a wide range of agronomic, vegetable and flower seed types.

Accessible
This seed counting system stores seed size specs and settings plus seed lot barcodes for convenient future use. With the optional top load scale, it also stores weight/1,000 seeds and seeds/gram for quick reference.

How the Sciotex Seed Counting System Works

Capturing Seeds of All Types, Shapes & Sizes
Sciotex imaging software is programmed to distinguish all sizes and shapes of seeds to count at extremely fast speeds. With high camera resolution, small seeds (such as lobelia seeds) are just as easily captured as larger seeds (such as pumpkin seeds). The Sciotex Seed Counting System accurately counts long, narrow seeds that can be difficult for other seed counters. The system controls can be set for min and max sample sizes, speed and counting parameters to avoid counting debris or husks. The system is designed to learn seed types and store them for easy reference later.

Expanded Functions
Sciotex software includes a counting function in seeds per second, easier calibration, improved packaging settings and downloadable measurements of statistical data such as area, length and width. Screens include a user-friendly dashboard design, operator account setup, and fields to track special data such as purchase orders.
