Open, Insert, and Cuff Perforated Plastic Bags from Roll Stock

Pearson BI18 Bag Inserter opens, inserts, and cuffs perforated plastic bags from roll stock into a wide variety of corrugated cases at speeds of up to 18 cases per minute. Advanced design features guarantee smooth and precise bag placement and handling. Furthermore, high-visibility machine status lighting, non-contact interlocks, CAT-3 Safety Circuits, easily accessible grace port and an auxiliary operator station are standard features on the machine.

Pearson's 3-Axis Delta Top Loader provides flexible and reliable carton, case and tray packing capabilities. This fully-customizable solution is ideally-suited for loading light-weight products at high rates of speed.

Features

Positive Bag Opening: Opposing vacuum plenums ensure consistent bag opening by grasping both sides of the bag simultaneously and pulling them in opposite directions.

Reliable Bag Placement and Cuffing: Vacuum plenums hold the bag in position in relation to the top of the case as the bag is pushed to the bottom of the case. Cuffing fingers are activated to contain the top perimeter of the bag as the vacuum releases and the cuffing fingers descend.

No Static Cling: Anti-static bars dissipate built-up static electricity to allow for fast feeding of bags into position for placement.

Fast Changeover: Fast changeovers are supported by the industry's most advanced HMI with an uncluttered design, intuitive navigation, interactive changeover and fault-recovery guides, live sensor maps, and advanced maintenance features. Scales, pointers and quick release handles ensure additional tools are not necessary. Trained technicians can complete a changeover in under 20min.

Ergonomic Bag Roll Replacement: A standard hydraulic bag roll lift cart enables simplified, ergonomic replacement of heavy bag rolls.

Convenient Dual Access to Machine: A remote operator station enables machine control on both sides of the conveyor.

Safety Redundancy with CAT 3: Dual channel safety circuit maintains integrity of safety features in case of single component failure.

Highly Reliable Non-Contact Interlocks: Eliminates misalignment of guard door interlocks which prevents problems common to keyed interlocks.

High-Visibility Machine Status: A standard four-light LED beacon and multi-color interior machine lighting provides high-visibility of machine status.

Easily Accessible Grace Port: Grace ports provide convenient communication access and 110V convenience outlet at the outside of the machine's electrical cabinet.

Remote Access Capability: Allows Pearson’s support team on-demand access to the equipment's PLC and HMI through a secure VPN connection via an eWON router (ISECOM STAR and ISO27001 certified) to support emergency troubleshooting and reduce on-site visits.
