Shuttleworth Gated SmartFeed systems use a product stop to synchronize the release of the product to the flighted infeed of a wrapper or case packer. The combination of the low pressure queue area, speed change, and the product stop, makes for a jam-free operation. Gated SmartFeeds operate at rates of 20 to 80 products per minute. The high-speed Gated SmartFeed can reach rates of 150 products per minute.

Equipped with Shuttleworth's innovative Slip-Torque roller technology, the Gated SmartFeed & High-Speed Gated SmartFeed provides low back pressure accumulation, allowing for gentle product handling while also properly spacing the product into the wrapper – minimizing the potential for product damage to occur. This will benefit the user with a highly-efficient packaging line running at peak performance.
