Eliminate Downtime Due to Film Changeover

With our carrousel mounted film carriage system, eliminate the downtime created by film loading. Comes with up to 4 complete NO-THREAD powered pre-stretch film carriages that work alternatively, for continuous-operation film reloading. When the machine processes one roller, it automatically replaces the empty spool with a new roll without missing a beat or requiring operator intervention.

Human-Safe Loading Zone

Operator exposure to moving parts during operation is eliminated with our human-safe film loading zone. The film loading zone is now outside of the wrapping zone and is equipped with its own safety devices which do not interfere with the wrapping process. Therefore, the operator can reload the stretch film roll without stopping the machine operation while being 100% safe. Category 3 safety package included.

Safety Package Option

Many customers are now asking that we supply our machines in accordance to OSHA specifications for safety. Although OSHA is not specific on what the requirements are, we have added the following features to this system to provide additional safety.

A typical safety package for a rotary arm unit consists of:

Light Curtains
4 beam Light curtains SICK M4000 and a safety monitoring relay. Includes a dual channel e-stop circuit for category 3 safety protection and a 2 button lanyard with estop.
After the forklift driver places the load in the wrap zone, he must back out of the wrap zone clearing the light curtains, verify that the wrap zone is clear of all personnel, then rearm the safety circuit on the lanyard and start the cycle.
If the light curtain barrier is broken at any time during the cycle the machine will stop and will not be able to restart until the safety relay has been reset.
The pre-stretch motor will not be powered during e-stop or wrap zone entrance.
Film can still be easily pulled out of the carriage by opening the carriage gate.
Electric Dump Valve
Addition of an electric dump valve to purge the pneumatic system (including the cylinders) when an E-stop is pressed or when the machine power is off.
Fencing Safety
Three sided safety fencing around process area. Fencing is heavy duty with safety yellow support posts and black wire mesh sections for improved visibility into the wrap zone.
The overall height of the fencing is 90" from the floor, with a 4" sweep space under the panels.
