Case Erector for Large Cases

The A-B-C 340 large-case erector is built tough, with a heavy steel frame, packed with rugged components that handle large knockdown blanks at top production speeds. This erector's PLC controller provides unprecedented control of line performance with data easily accessible at the operator station. Proven in plant production dependably erects, squares, and seals large cases at top speeds for maximum performance on your line.

Machine Features

Designed to run out-of-spec corrugated, warped KDs, and high recycled content cases
Run knockdown blanks up to 45" long x 42" wide
Easy load, low level case magazine
All mechanical drive
Rapid changeover with no tools
Seal with adhesive or tape

Benefits

A-B-C Intelligent Control Ensures Precise Operation: Intelligent Control takes PLC logic one step further, to provide unprecedented control of line performance. Closed loop position feedback ensures precise timing of each operating sequence, utilizing non-contact sensors to provide input. The touch screen display provides real-time operating data, and allows independent operation of all functions, diagnostics, and changeover settings.

Easy Load Case Magazine with Positive Indexing: The high capacity kd magazine holds up to two case stacks, and automatically indexes each stack into position to provide a continuous case supply with minimum operator attention. Cases are indexed with a combination gripper/sliderail system that is designed to accommodate out-of-spec corrugated and smoothly handles large, heavy cases.

Reliable, Case-Squaring Mechanical Transfer: The mechanical walking beam transfer bars are mounted on synchronized transfer chain. This design provides additional squaring action as cases travel from erecting through sealing.

Positive Flap Folding: The major case flaps are gripped firmly as the heavy-duty rear flap tucker folds the inner flap, ensuring efficient flap folding and sealing. The continuous motion main drive powers the walking beam case transfer that squares cases as they travel. The main drive has a sealed bearing linkage that ensures high speed performance for the long haul.

Servo-Powered Sealing Ram (Adhesive Sealing): A servo motor powers the sealing compression ram to provide full compression on every case and ensure a secure seal during high speed production. 2" or 3" wide tape applicator head (tape sealing).

Shock-Absorbing Case Sealing and Squaring Ram: The case compression mandrel is equipped with shock absorbers to eliminate machine stress, to reduce maintenance and ensure long machine life.
